Summer Colors in Bead Crochet

Creating a bead crochet pattern for these beads was really fun.  I'm stringing the other half over the weekend and hope to finish it by next Wednesday; we'll see.

Interchangeable Bead Crochet

Inspired by Rona Loomis' Interchangeable Fringes (click HERE), I created necklaces to interchange with my fringe.
Necklace #1 - Yellow, black, green and white bead crochet doubled rope with the fringe.
Remove fringe and weave through Necklace #2 - Black, white and red bead crochet rope for a completely different look.

Hama Bead Bracelets

Plastic Hama beads work up quickly in bead crochet (click HERE).  An invisible join (click HERE) is a nice finish to these roll-on bead crochet bangles.  I used a crochet hook #7 and Tuff Cord #2.

Soothing Bead Soup

I keep my colorful bead soup in a large glass hurricane container; perfect for some beadiful candlelight.  Remember to use "DRIPLESS CANDLES" or you really will have bead soup.  Better yet, use an FLAMELESS LED CANDLE.  (Thank you Barbara of Pinelands Treasures (click HERE).

One more photo of this sweet plant.  Jeez, I love this plant.

Blooming Good Time

One of my polymer clay figures adds a little interest to my air plant collection.
This is my favorite air plant, blooming with color.
My favorite new plant:  Last February I purchased a "Lifesaver plant" very reasonably on Ebay.  Today it bloomed.  Oh, it is so gloriously beautiful and makes me so happy.

Free Bead Crochet Pattern

Fusion Beads has a free PDF (click HERE) for the above bead crochet necklace.  Fusion Beads provides the materials list, order information, color graph, word pattern, instructions and assembly information.  The only thing not provided is a "how to bead crochet"-- you need to know how before starting.  If you are not already registered for Fusion's emails, you will need to register to download the pattern.  I order from Fusion and have enjoyed their emails and website (click HERE) for this very reason....free patterns, bead information and sales.  Here is the link to Fusion Beads' free jewelry making patterns and techniques (click HERE) available on their website.

A Couple of Old Birds

A couple of polymer clay pieces from several years ago.  The below bird was my first one and the top one was my second.  I was so happy with the canes I made for the brown bird (above) because they were perfect for the shading of the bird.

Polymer and Turquoise

I used Barb Fajardo's Mimbres Flora technique to create this pendant.  It's one of my favorites.

Polymer in Lights

Polymer clay mandala cuff bracelet sanded and buffed to a beautiful glossy shine.  I photographed it on a mirror (above) and on a hanging display hand (below).

Now You See Me, Now You Don't

I had a fun day shopping at the sporting goods store.  I skipped the camo suit, but bought some plastic containers for my ever accumulating bead stash.  I'll be posting some finished pieces while I spend some time cleaning my creative space.
