Time To Bake The.....
I purchased the broken doll from Goodwill. As soon as I saw him, I knew he would be perfect for baking a pan full of polymer clay! I stuck a polymer clay mustache on him too!

Polymergence
Wow. How exciting. Thank you to my friends who emailed me to tell me they saw my work in the June issue of the International Polymer Clay Association's fabulous publication, "Polymergence" (click HERE). The article shares insight into sketching as part of the creative process and features four artists. I am so happy and honored to be one of them. Thank you IPCA!

Miss Gecko on the Get Go
Polymer clay body, hand painted, crystal fingernails, crystal eyes and......a nice long tail of beads graduating in size from large to small. Boy, was she fun to make!

The Feathered Chameleon
You know how chameleons can hide themselves in their surroundings.......I'm wearing her to the Bead and Button show. Who knows, I may blend in with all the beaded wonders. Her body is polymer clay, hand painted, embellished with polymer canes, and finally accessorized in beaded feathers. I did not take my computer on my trip, so I will catch up on emails, etc. upon my return on the 16th. I have pre-posted some of my latest pieces until then.

Polymer & Jewelry Blanks
Sometimes vintage jewelry is missing stones or the finish is a little worn. Polymer clay is the perfect answer to filling in those empty spots and covering those worn areas. I have collected (oh, what a surprise) vintage jewelry blanks and am finally starting to use them. These are heavy, well made pieces; beautifully constructed. So, instead of rhinestones and pearls, we have polymer clay.
