Kitchen Rug = Pendant

I thought it look like a worn, rusted, corroding piece of pipe. It's just the first layer, so who knows how it will end up looking. But I am happy with the mold and its results.

Kitchen Rug = Polymer Fun

We bought an indoor-outdoor small kitchen rug at Costco. Got home, set it on the counter in the garage and all I could think was, "Quick, get the stuff to make a mold of those little plastic loops!" And then I thought, "Oh, I am beyond help for this". Oh well.
But, I do have to say, the look on the hubby's face was worth a thousand words.
The unbaked polymer clay on the left. Continued tomorrow.

Do You Know What This Is?

I went GoodWill hunting again and found a plastic bag full of metal parts. I saw the round one and thought it would make a good bracelet form for polymer clay. It was half price and calling my name. While I was opening it at home and trying to figure out what I could do with the rest of the pieces after I used the round one, my husband said, "You know what that is don't you?" "Like you do?, I said rolling my eyes. And then he set them up on the counter and said, "I saw it the minute you opened the bag." He's gloating and I'm explaining that I am thinking with a "polymer clay" programmed mind and it wasn't fair.
After yesterday, that's why I need him around.......to literally show me love.

Knotted Up

I hate that feeling. Knots in your stomach.
Like being stripped to the bone, feeling raw, but you keep smiling anyway because that's all you can do is push forward.
Can't say anything either. Guess that's where the expression, "Bite your tongue" came from. I love art. I mean, I really love art. Being able to express all that through some knotted up polymer clay and a couple of collages is so gratifying. Whew, feel so much better now.

A Paw Firm

Isn't this the cutest? A Paw Firm!
While doing a little shopping in Chicago on my Bead and Button trip, I passed this store. People were laughing at me because I kept going "Awwwwww, that is soooo cute". Well it is, darn it. Hope your day has some "Awwwwww's" in it.
