Cape Kiwanda, Pacific City, Oregon

 

Cape Kiwanda.  Oh, did I love this area.  The RV park was right across the street from the ocean.

Get up in the morning and walk on the beach.  Walk to the restaurants and bakeries.  Best cannoli I've ever eaten was at Stimulus Bakery watching the clouds drift over the ocean.

Corning California and Southern Oregon

 Rolling Hills Casino and RV Park in Corning was beautifully landscaped with trees and bushes between each RV for privacy.  The Casino had a shuttle service to the restaurants and gambling.  No, didn't win a thing; just lost my $20.  Why I even bother I don't know.

 Southern Oregon RV Park had stunning views of the surrounding lakes. 

 We camped right across from the lake.  Peaceful, quiet and restful.  Onto Cape Kiwanda in the morning.

Mt. Shasta, California

 Take my breath away magnificent!

 Boggles my mind.......beautiful flowers growing on the side of a mountain.

Just one impressive view after another.

Monterey, California

 

 Artichoke Festival at the Monterey Fairgrounds.  We had artichoke ice cream and artichoke burritos and they were GOOD!  There was artichoke everything.  Had my photo taken in one of those "stick your head in here" boards.  Pretty funny right?

    The shops and restaurants at the wharf were unique and colorful.  Sitting oceanside sipping a little white wine, eating fresh fish and watching the sunset with my loving husband is a memory I cherish.

Monterey, California

 In one word, scenic!  We stayed at the Monterey County Fairgrounds and took a cab back and forth to the wharf.  Cute shops, interesting galleries and an artichoke festival!  Few more pics tomorrow.

Cambria, California

 A new meaning to "Kiss My ____"  We took a day trip to Cambria, California.

 Beautiful area with quaint shops like Lynn's Bakery and Restaurant.  Loved the flower pot man on the antique tractor; pretty creative.

Morro Bay California

 Love this mermaid sculpture!

 Seals.  We took a walk on the wharf in the evening.  I couldn't believe how loud the seals were!

65 degrees, but with the ocean breeze, it was cold!  Refreshingly cold.

Morro Bay, California

 Peaceful, clean, invigorating, gorgeous Morro Bay.

 We stayed here two days, two nights and just enjoyed!  Barefoot walks in the sand, dipping our toes in the freezing cold ocean and eating fresh seafood oceanside.  We made plans to stop here again on our return trip home.

Bakersfield, California

En route to Bakersfield, California, oil drill after oil drill; prehistoric looking, almost alien.

 The RV Park had hundreds of orange trees planted to give privacy between RV's.

It was short, but sweet.

Trip To Washington

 Started on May 28th from Sun City West, Arizona and headed to Laughlin, Nevada.  Temperature was still in the triple digits, but it was beautiful.

 We had lunch and dinner at the casino and got a good night's sleep before heading out in the morning to Bakersfield, California.
