Rock Inspired?

No. It's how I feel. I'm having minor surgery next week on my face to remove some skin cancer.
It's the third time in the same place and the last surgery was extensive, so I am scared. But then, I am a bit of a drama queen. I'm still working on my sculpture for the art show which is due on Thursday. It should be interesting to say the least considering how I feel.

  3. LOL -- with your recent incredible eye for inspiration from rocks, I'd be surprised if it was anything BUT. Is this a poured medium? Not sure how you did this one. Drama queens are the most creative artists. ;)

  4. Thank you my friends, I appreciate it. I hand sculpted the face and all the barnacles, vines, larvae and surface embellishments, but used a mold I made of coral for the flat base. I used a pin, etc. for texturing. I think I will post a short "how to" tomorrow. Thanks again. -Marlene

  7. You know my thoughts are going to be with you. I wake up every day, asking myself, what day is it, is it your surgery day?

Let me know how it goes, sweet friend.
