I tried to balance the color with the highly textured, bold brushstrokes and lines of tension. It also sold at the fair. The woman who bought it said the face gave her strength; it was spiritual for her. I am always grateful when someone shares their reasons for purchasing a piece of art.
Marlene..I'm catching up. I'm touched, especially ike your teenager, by your faces.
ReplyDeleteThey do have a way of evoking emotion. Ths one strikes me as thoroughly lovely and strong. But your teenager's favorite in your collage has deeper meaning for me as well. How big is it?
This is beautiful, Marlene!! I too can see the strength in the face and the colors, my oh my!! Awesome work...love your abstract art!
ReplyDeleteThis painting is one of your best. I am pulled into this face. The spirit and emotion. I "feel" the emotion.
ReplyDeleteExcellent!!!
