Cut a small piece of a drinking straw, slip it on a pin back, close and lock. You can then slip a cable, ribbon, neck wire or chain through the straw and wear your brooch as a pendant.
I know I'm a bit late to the bandwagon, since this post was published 2 weeks ago, but this idea is too brilliant not to comment. I can't tell you how many lovely brooches I have that I never wear because I don't like wearing pins. I think I know what I'll be doing this afternoon: converting old brooches into necklaces. Thank you!! :)
Brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteThat is a seriously brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing that. Enjoy the day. Erin

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this. I taught this many years ago to a scout group. It works perfectly.

Brilliant, so simple but so effective, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMarlene, this is very clever, proving yet again that something simple should always take precedence over something contrived.
ReplyDeleteI've been missing out on several of your posts, despite following on GFC, so I am adding you to my Feedburner, too.
Thank you all so much. I appreciate your comments.
