A Statement Scarf

I loved making this one!  It is the Solomon's Knot (click HERE) triangle scarf crocheted with Trellis yarn.  Tie it at the back of the neck....................
 Tie it on the side..........................
Tie it in front...............................or how cute it would be tied at the waist over a pair of jeans?

  3. Hi...I ran across your love knot shawl while looking for one online. It is the prettiest one I have found and I just bought 4 balls of that yarn on sale today. I am fairly new to crochet and while I can find the pattern for the triangular shawl, I am not sure how to do the fringe. Would you mind sharing? Also...how much did it take and what size needle did you use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

  4. Hi Deana, Here's the link to YouTube for creating the fringe. I used only one strand in each stitch opening on the scarf. I like them long so I made them about 8" long. Which means I cut 16", folded it in half and knotted it through the stitch opening as you will see in the video. Good luck and if you need help, email me.

This link should work, but if it doesn't, Google "YouTube scarf fringe".

  6. Here is a link to an easier version ptn that starts at the bottom point block & increases each row by 2 blocks. Much easier to stop making rows to make ties at each end & have enough yarn. I attach heavy beads on front point & on tie ends, to give it weight to stay put.

  7. Can the Solomon's knot be done on a loom knitter? I love this design, but cannot crochet...

  8. No, it can't be done on a loom knitter, sorry. Watch the "how to" video tutorial for the Solomon's Knot and you might like to try it. Materials aren't costly and you can practice and take your time. I think you would love it.

  9. Where can I find a pattern for this scarf?

I am told the above is an easier triangle scarf pattern, but I could not get the video to work tonight when I tried to double check it. Maybe you will have better luck. I alway Google "Solomon's Knot Triangle Scarf" to see if there are easier patterns out there. You may find one you like better.
Otherwise, the below is what I used.

    I used Donna Wolfe's (of Natazia.com) instructions and crochet spot's pattern. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuItYejJrfg

  11. This is a beautiful Solomon's Knot triangle scarf. I have made one triangle scarf using Solomon's Knot; difficult to learn at first, but once I got the hang of it, the triangle scarf was quick and easy to make!

Can you tell me what is the color of the trellis yarn used in this scarf? I am looking for it, but don't seem to come across any yarn that is gold enough. I wish to make another triangle scarf for a girl friend and this color would be perfect.
