I took a a very thick slice of one of my canes and ran it through the pasta machine on #1, turned the piece and ran it through on #2, turned it and ran it through on #3....and so on until I had the right design and thinness to stretch over my earrings.
The earrings were in bad shape when I got them from Goodwill. A little scrubbing, a little alcohol and they were ready for a coat of liquid clay. Then I applied the design and wrapped it around the back. Trimmed it, smoothed it and baked it. Sanded and buffed to a shine.
Definitely an eye-catcher! I especially like the spiral design. I've never worked with a pasta machine but I've seen others do it, and it looks like fun. One question, are they weighty? If I can feel jewelry on me, I tend not to wear it, but I know I'm missing out on some great looks.
