Judy Belcher And Inchies

Last year at Clay Carnival, Judy Belcher purchased one of my Inchie necklaces.  Polymer clay artist, Lynne Schmitt took a photo and recently sent it to me.  I'm thrilled to have it, thank you Lynne.
Each inchie was bagged with one of my cards in a zip lock bag.
Some of the new inchies for 2014 was Minion from Despicable Me, Sponge Bob, Zombie Pumpkin and Crazy Haired Zombies.  I hope people will like them.  I really had fun making them.

Clay Carnival Inchies

Last year I was one of the lucky recipients of a partial scholarship to this year's Clay Carnival 2014, so I'm heading back to Las Vegas for another creative, crazy, wild and wonderful good time taking seven  polymer clay workshops.  Last year for Clay Carnival I made my first series of inchies, "Monster, Robots and Zombies, Oh My!  This year's Clay Carnival is sold out so I am making my second series of Monster..Inchies - around 100.  So far, so good, I only have about 20 more to go.  I like making a few extras just in case.

Retreat Projects

Besides starting the gourd piece and giving a demo, I worked on creating more polymer clay Zombie necklaces and a couple of donation necklaces.
My work area.  A 4'x2' folding table, 2 collaspible shelves filled with my supplies and a cup warmer I use to bake on.  I brought my own chair too.  Not too spoiled.

Zombie Raggedy Ann

I tried to make a zombie Raggedy Ann (on the right), but she didn't turn out too scary.  Maybe the next one.  Zombie Raggedy Ann lives on a dead end street, but vacations at the Dead Sea Spa Hotel.  No groans?  Just dead silence.

3 Zombies Hanging Around

I've been having fun making Zombie necklaces.  None of my zombies have hair, but if they did.....they would use scare-spray.  Yeah, I know.  I can hear the groans.  Can't help myself.

Zombiefied Button Covers

Button covers slide over any small button, so they can be worn on different shirts/blouses.  I made extra Inchies to glue onto my blank button covers because seriously, one can't over-do zombies.

Monstrified Neck!

I made this Zombie necklace from my polymer clay inchies.  I added some polka dot beads and strung them on a cable necklace.  Very happy and very proud to say Judy Belcher (click HERE) purchased it.  How cool is that?

Ring, Ring....Who's There?

It's the last of the Zombie Inchies (for now anyway).  I used the swap and replace technique for the ring because I wanted to sand and buff it to a smooth, high shine
The earrings were simply layered shapes.

Clay Carnival Inchies

Polymer clay Inchies - 1"x1" tiles I made for the Las Vegas 2013 Clay Carnival Inchie Swap.   You know.....my favorite creative holiday is Halloween, so it was inevitable.

Polymer Zombie Marshmallows

Polymer Clay Zombie Marshmallows!
I saw some real Zombie Marshmallows on Meaghan Mountford's The Decorated Cookie (click HERE) and became inspired to create them out of polymer clay. I emailed Meaghan asking if I could create them in polymer and she said yes.  Meaghan is also the creator of the melting snowman cookie!  She is an amazing artist.
