I took a a very thick slice of one of my canes and ran it through the pasta machine on #1, turned the piece and ran it through on #2, turned it and ran it through on #3....and so on until I had the right design and thinness to stretch over my earrings.
The earrings were in bad shape when I got them from Goodwill. A little scrubbing, a little alcohol and they were ready for a coat of liquid clay. Then I applied the design and wrapped it around the back. Trimmed it, smoothed it and baked it. Sanded and buffed to a shine.

Barbara Fajardo Workshop
I took Barbara Fajardo's excellent two day polymer clay workshop over the weekend. She is a wonderful teacher and an unbelievable polymer clay artist. Her website can be found HERE, her blog HERE and her Facebook page HERE. It has taken me until today to finally do a short post on it because I have been busy playing. It was one of the very best workshops I have ever taken. The above earrings were my first pieces completed. More to come.

Shoulder Dusters
I felted some spikes, threaded a sterling silver headpin through the end, pulled it through a sterling silver cone, secured with jewelry glue, formed a wire loop, hung it on the earring wire, sewed some beads on and I was dusting my shoulders in no time.

Bangles & Earrings
I'm on a black and white kick. I made some simple black and white canes. Combined, reduced, cut, regrouped; just played. Then I made a couple of simple bangles and a pair of earrings. Then I played some more.

Polymer Set
I got some great pieces out of a mokume gane' sheet that I used for some pendants. The above was made from the left over scraps. The inside of each piece was made from Sculpey UltraLight and baked. I then coated the baked UltraLight pieces with liquid clay and then covered them with the polymer scraps.

Donna Kato Earrings
I purchased these earrings in 2001 from Donna Kato. She, along with many other famous polymer clay artists were teaching at Polymer Clay Haven just outside of Chicago, Illinois. I am still taking Donna's classes through Craft Edu (click HERE). The classes are thorough, entertaining, informative, detailed, .......have I said excellent?

These earrings are from the 1980's (I think). Too funny, right? I wore them in the mid 90's and sure had fun with them.

Polymer & Paper Clip Necklace
Polymer clay pressed into the round paper clip and cured in the oven. Quick and fun.
Above are the round paper clips I purchased at Office Max. Below-after you make a loop and twist it sideways, press the polymer clay into it and bake.
I've been laid up with a left sprained ankle since Saturday, April 28 when I missed a step and fell. Saw the orthopedic surgeon who recommended a semi-cast with a boot and in a wheel chair for two weeks to see if I can avoid surgery. The wheel chair is also to help my right knee heal from the fall. I can create with polymer, but the hubby has to load and unload it from the oven located in the garage because I'm in the wheel chair. He hasn't complained once. How sweet is that?
