Polymer Finger is Handy
I'm working on a series of red, white & blue bead crochet necklaces at the same time I am working on the Circus Bangles. Oh so heavenly busy. With all this crocheting, my little polymer clay crochet hook finger is coming in handy.

Doll Shoe Necklace
I made some polymer clay spacers to use between the vintage doll shoes I strung on a cable. First I drilled a small hole in each shoe and then attached the jump ring to the shoe. I wore it to an art fair recently where the doll shoe necklace received lots of smiles. My favorite was a little girl who came to see it twice....studying it like it was from outer space. In total astonishment she said, "So I could make jewelry from some of my doll things?" Ahhhh, and another one is hooked.

Double Your Fun
I added rubber rings to the dagger bracelet. The rings help it to "stand up" rather than fall over. The Circus Bangles string-along is coming along. (hehe)

Circus Bangle #2
Add some rings of polymer clay to some 10/0 Delicas and opaque drops and you have more fun than a three-ring circus.

Flea Market Mesa, Arizona
Another booth that made me laugh out loud was wooden walking canes. The cane on the right is a baseball on top of a bat. The one in the middle is a woman's leg wearing a high heel. So creative.

That's the flea market in the center of the gigantic parking lot; 55 acres of fun. This was the last weekend for most of the vendors. They will return in October when the heat of the summer is gone.

Welcome to the Circus
I am participating in Judith Bertoglio-Giffin's "Circus Bangles" online String-Along. It will be a series of 4 or 5 (or more) bead crochet bracelets in circus colors and fun textures. Click HERE.
I finished my first bracelet; basically testing for tension and size. I'm enjoying working with size 10 Delicas. They are right in-between size 8's and size 11's. Today, I will receive a new pattern and, hopefully, have it finished by next Friday.

Boot With A Lot Of Soul
Some good old fashioned simple cane work in bright colors. I covered a ceramic boot planter with my colorful cane slices. Now I am looking for just the right cactus to fill it.
So, it will be a planter.........to boot (couldn't help it)!

Wall Painting & Corner Vignette
A couple more photos from my outing to Tonto Bar & Grill in Cave Creek, Arizona. A haunting wall painting (above) and a corner vignette I loved.

Time With Friends
I was blessed with an invitation to a friend's 90th birthday celebration luncheon at Tonto Bar & Grill in Cave Creek, Arizona. We enjoyed our food and drinks on the patio overlooking the golf course.
The scenery was gorgeous, the weather was beautiful and time spent with friends, laughing and talking was a gift; truly a gift.
