Bandage Jewelry
Yes, I need help. Polymer Clay Anonymous. I was in recovery last Friday after a minor procedure getting the IV removed and looked down at the bandage. I said, "Ooooo, I like that texture, could I have some new pieces of that bandage?"
I cut four strips and made a two-part silicone mold of them lying side by side.
After pressing the polymer into the mold and removing it, I cut out shapes, baked and highlighted the texture and voila! Bandage Jewelry.
I get the biggest kick out of how fascinated I am with these textures and how happy I am with the finished pieces. Pretty funny.

You are so creative! Love these!
OMGoodness, Marlene, you have (without a doubt) the most creative mind! Always thinking "outside the box" and this bandage jewelry is evidence. Who (but you!) would even think to try this. It's lovely!!!
LOL at least you asked for some NEW bandage, otherwise this may have been a bit much!
I know, I thought of that! When making a mold, if at all possible, ALWAYS go with new. After it was out of my mouth, I was freaking, but the nurse didn't even blink. She just said, "Sure."
Bandage jewelry is better than bondage jewlery, no?
Your colors are fabulous!
Great Minds think alike...When hubby came home from the hospital we were overloaded with gauze..and let me tell you...my brain was working overtime figuring out how to use it.But let me tell you...your idea is just wonderful..wow creating a mold...Holy smokes, you are good!!Bravo!!Hugs,Cat
