Holiday Button Tree

I love this button tree.  The buttons have meaning; some were my grandmother's and some my mother-in-law's. The rest were purchased, found or given to me.  The new mixed in with the old; the perfect mixed in with the broken.  Nothing valuable, but yet, invaluable.
A button is a fastener.  It fastens (connects) one part to another - literally and, for my tree, symbolically.  Wishing you lots of opportunities this holiday season to button.

That's lovely and inspiring me to create one of my own. And if I do, I will take pics, create a tutorial, and post it on my blog: may I then link back to this post as my inspiration?? Thanks for sharing, and I love your dolls.

Please tell Marlene, what is the base for this tree under all those special buttons? I love it, and of course the bling on top catches my eye too.

Should have added how perfect it looked with a bit of ribbon spiraled around it in your holiday card post below. It's a very versatile button tree!

The base is Styrofoam. I hot glued the buttons on, but you can use a push pin in each button. Thanks for commenting. You know how much I appreciate it.
