Clay Carnival Class #1 - Articulated Fish

I made a Lion Fish and a Shark in my workshop taught by Leslie Blackford (click HERE) at Clay Carnival 2013 in LasVegas, Nevada (click HERE).  Leslie is a unique polymer clay artist with a great sense of humor.  I connected with her organic style and humorous sculptures.  She was so patient, giving and sharing.  All the teachers were.  Can't say enough how much I enjoyed it.
I made my fish too large to wear, but for photographing among some polymer clay coral, some crocheted fish net and some air dry polymer clay shells, they were perfect.
The Lion Fish is articulated in 4 parts and the Shark in 3.
Yes, my next fishies will be much smaller.  That poor shark looks like an albatross hanging around that mannequin's neck, but it made me giggle, so there it is.  More tomorrow.

Love the fish, especially the lion fish. Sense of humor, indeed, made me smile too!

These are so lovable and kooky, Marlene... the shark's expression is a winner!
