This is fabulous!! Marlene, you are also a poet? Many talents! I love the painting on this, the climbing vine, the little plants, doorknob, and even a doorbell. I want to move in, but alas, I might disappear too! Love, love, love it! One question, how tall is this perfect little abode?

Hi Marlene. This is my first time to see this blog and other blogs. I've enjoyed many of the art work done by many talented artists. And of course, yours is one of them that I really enjoyed looking at. Some of the work of yours and others is similar to mine. But I've never posted them up on internet. I do sell some of my work and give others away as gifts to friends and family. Now this one piece of work you did with the tiny cottage on the bottle, I did one but not on a bottle. I did my cottage on a birch tree, and again on a log. It really looked good on the tree, looked real. I even set up a tiny table with a chair outside of the cottage plus flat stones using them as a walk. The door was nearly the same as yours and windows. Many of us have the same ideas. I don't think there's anyone on earth that has done a piece of art different from anyone. But I could be wrong. It's just how I think. I remember doing a design and sent it to a friend through email. The following four years after, I saw a painting of a design that looked exactly like mine. Then there were others. The more I see works of art, the more they tend to appear the same. Some with different paints used or material, etc. But that's good. And I had only intended to tell you about the cottage part, and end up saying more. But yes I do enjoy other people's art and yours is beautiful work. Thanks for taking the time to read my long comment. Lol sorry. That's just me.

Thank you for your kind words. I agree with you - there is nothing original; just authenticity. Once I worked weeks on a piece and was about to photograph it. I sat down in front of my computer to take a break and there, on one of my favorite sites was my piece. The piece I thought I was so original in creating. Ugh.

I encourage you to photograph your work and post it on a blog. It is a wonderful way of journaling your work; seeing your art develop from one year to the next. And, of course, there are nice people like you that take the time to leave a wonderful comment that feeds our artistic souls.
