Two Faced

"One who defames another's character, also defames their own." --African Proverb Years ago I found a broken piece of what looked like a small tribal mask. I made a polymer sculpt of it and worked on it until it looked like what I thought it once did. I really liked the "Two Faced" design. I made it a magnetic pin so I can wear it on silk scarves. I wonder how two faced people look in the mirror at the end of the day. Which of their faces do they see or do they remain anonymous even to themselves? The pin has me deep thinking.

This is wonderful!

Hey Marlene, did you ever get my response to your e-mail the other day? Did it work for you? Just curious since I didn't hear back, I wasn't sure if my e-mail went through. Sometimes when I send e-mails from my laptop they disappear into the universe.

I love this pin!

A thought provoking piece, for sure, Marlene. You have captured the tribal visage whether it's like the original or not. At first I thought it was a representation of a scarab -- not really tribal, but definitely ancient. It has an aged look about it. Now that I think about it though, it might just be me (and wherever I'm coming from!) seeing things you didn't inten -- first snakes, then a beetle. Oh dear, lol.

Thanks Barbara. It does look like a scarab, which are good luck for good health. I love how you see things! -M
