I highlighted the trunk, branches and leaves with an off white. I just like how it sparkles from a distance. I know it is probably wrong, as is the little round bush, but I love it, so it stays. And that's that.

Nothing could be "wrong" here. Your interpretation as an artist is always right on. Look at the work of the masters -- it's quite often nothing like the real thing. I believe in the vision and interpretation of the artist. Without those things, all we'd need is someone with a camera. Your colors, shading, and highlights are perfect!
