Catrina

So, we are back home in Arizona after a wonderful trip to Chicago. I don't like long car rides, but time passed quickly. I finished three peyote patterns; the snake, Catrina (above) and a leopard pattern (tomorrow). Catrina is going to be a pendant. Love how she turned out. I photographed her on a Rodin (Femmes, Vingt-Quatre Etudes De Rodin, Albert Morance, I, rue Palatine--Paris VIe). I have 19 of them in a set I bought years ago. One of these days I will have to do something with them.

I love it! And just in time for the season. The purple is great - it is right on! Check out the skulls with the butterflies:

I'm just gearing up to teach about Día de los Muertos in my Spanish classes.

So perfect for october! I'd like to learn how to use this stitch to create an image. It reminds me of needlepoint (which I never learned to do either!).
