Drill Stand and Crochet

The drill stand I ordered from England is on backorder with no arrival date in sight so I broke down and bought the Dremel stand at Home Depot.
It works beautifully; does a great job so I am satisfied. It is just four times bigger than the one from England. It's not like I am short of space so I don't know why I am obsessing about the size. The Home Depot one was a third of the price so I am happy about that.
I practiced on some scraps and then zipped through a box full of pieces awaiting drill holes.
Then I worked on a tiny little crocheted purse pendant. Tomorrow it will get some beads sewn on it. I met some friends for coffee and then I volunteered at our local store/gallery. Got a lot done.

I have the same dremel drill press but haven't used it for any clay pieces as of yet -- I usually use my little hand drill. My hubby bought the dremel for me a few years ago and I have a fear of power tools so we only use it for buffing right now and my hubby does most of that! Maybe I will get brave one day and try it! lol

Mine is working best at the medium speed. I can really get a lot done. You are so lucky to have a hubby to buff for you. What a sweetheart you have.

Rhonda, I had not thought about selling it. Your blog is really taking off. Love your photos and your books and albums are magnificent!

Hey Marlene,
How is the big rig for drilling...found any oil yet? Oh, silly me.
I do have one huge honkin' drill press in the basement and you may just have inspired me to try it out. How is it for drilling round beads...I wonder...are they difficult to hold in place?
